Standing With Venezuela
We are called to love our neighbors — near and far. In the wake of devastating earthquakes, Presence Church stands in solidarity with the people of Venezuela. Together, we respond with compassion, resources, and prayer.
The Crisis in Venezuela
On June 24, 2026, two powerful earthquakes — magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 — struck north-central Venezuela near Caracas within seconds of each other, making them among the strongest to hit the country in over a century. The coastal state of La Guaira has been declared a disaster zone. Thousands have been killed or injured, and many remain missing as rescue teams continue searching through the rubble.
Hospitals across the affected region are overwhelmed and facing severe shortages of basic medical supplies, clean water, and medicine. Entire communities have been displaced overnight, and families are in desperate need of food, shelter, and care.
At Presence Church, we believe that faith without action is empty. When people suffer, we show up. The call to "love your neighbor" has no borders — and right now, our Venezuelan brothers and sisters need us. We are mobilizing our congregation to give, serve, and pray alongside this extraordinary need.
